Connect-Up are the only provider that Education Leeds and Leeds City Council can recommend to schools as a best value solution.
As of the 27 April 2009 most schools had secured a provider and 70% of schools have chosen Connect-Up.
Connect-Up are committed to securing staff with the skills required to meet the needs of all the schools of Leeds. They are close to achieving their full staffing complement.
If a school does not wish to contract with Connect-Up and wishes to carry out a best value procurement exercise of their own then the Commissioning, Procurement and Business Development Team of Education Leeds will support this.
Those schools should consider the following:
1.0 Schools seeking MIS Support contracts valued at less than £10k
The school should seek at least three quotes.
Schools should:
1.1 Use the generic specification CLICK HERE
1.2 Limit payments to the provider to termly in advance, as a financial check on the provider, using Experian, has not been achieved.
1.3 Check that the Insurance cover of the provider of their choice matches that of the framework contract.
1.4 Ensure the provider has CRB vetting of staff.
1.5 Use the LCC Terms and Conditions of the Framework Contract to support the procurement and therefore cover the highly significant issues of data protection and confidentiality, as well as others CLICK HERE
