'Save Money' Programmes on Teachers' TV

Do you need some ideas on how your school can save money?  The answer is now available via a TV series made by the DfES and Teachers TV.  'Save Money' is a series of five programmes where Claire Dicks, one of their School Procurement Advisers, visits different schools to advise them on how they can improve their procurement and make savings in time and money.  The first programme has Claire showing a school how it could make savings of £40,000 per year - just by taking a few simple steps.

In each programme, Claire reviews the school's procurement and then looks in greater detail at the areas where they could make the biggest savings.  She gives them details of the different ways in which they can address the problems, and discusses with the school how to make changes.  There's also a top tip section in each episode.

The programmes are currently being broadcast on Teachers' TV, and each one will be available on their website at http://www.teachers.tv/video/17830 after it has been broadcast on television.  Teachers' TV broadcasts 24 hours a day, 365 days a year on digital satellite (Sky 880), digital cable (Virgin TV 240), Tiscali (845), and between 11am - 1pm on Freeview (88).
