OPEN (Online Procurement for Educational Needs)
OPEN for business!
Online purchasing tool for schools OPEN is now available in your area.
OPEN allows schools to purchase and pay for goods and services online and is part of the Department For Children, Schools and Families’ (DCSF’s) Educational Procurement Centre (EPC) – set up to help schools save money.
More than 60 schools in Leeds have already registered to use OPEN and a number of schools are actively trading on the system.
Members of the Leeds EPC field force are currently carrying out training visits to schools. Please contact us if you would like to be included in this group training session.
OPEN is not the only way EPC can help your school save money. EPC teams also carry out Procurement Healthchecks which aim to provide help and guidance around complex procurement issues.
For more information about OPEN and the wider EPC service please contact Gemma Palmer, DCSF Schools Procurement Partner, Tel: 07917 397739 or e-mail: gemma.palmer@dcsf.gsi.gov.uk
