More than just a traditional builder, Property Maintenance (Building
Agency) is able to provide new build construction along with the
individual services such as joinery, plumbing and electrical. We
have some highly specialised services such as gas servicing, heating
and ventilation, lift maintenance, advice on asbestos surveying and
reporting plus removal, demolition and security services.
Whether you require a particular service or a complete solution to
all your building maintenance and security needs, Property
Maintenance has the experience and professional expertise to satisfy
your requirements.
All our staff are highly trained and motivated and we have achieved
'Investors in People' accreditation for commitment to providing our
managers, supervisors and operatives with the skills and training
that they require to carry out their work to the highest standards.
We recognise the importance of promoting and ensuring working
practices which are safe for both our staff and customers, and our
Health and Safety Management System has been awarded RosPA (Royal
Society for the Prevention of Accidents) level 2 status. We are
committed to managing our environmental effects, and Leeds City
Council recently became the largest organisation in Europe to be
awarded EMAS (Eco-Management Audit Scheme) accreditation for its
dedication to systematically reducing its impact on the environment.
Our commitment to customer satisfaction, brought about by a highly
trained and motivated work force, can be no better demonstrated than
by our accreditation to the ISO 9001 Standard for Quality
Management. Property Maintenance has had a Quality Management system
in place since 1996 which has recently been updated to be in
accordance with ISO 9001:2000. This has been accredited by S.G.S.
Yarsley.
This system used in conjunction with key Performance indicators
allows for the following:

Methodology for monitoring performance and resolution of time
slippage and defects.

Quality control, handover and post completion framework.

Project review on completion and at the end of the defects period.

Our electrical section is an 'Approved Contractor' with the
National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracts
(NICEIC) and has a proven record for providing a first class

Lifts
-
Our lift section delivers services to the standards set by the
Lifts and Escalators Association (LEIA) and the Safety Assessment
Federation (SAFed) which meets all health and safety 'best
practise' requirements.
Innovations include the Section's design of the Leeds vandal-proof
lift car together with the use of the most up to date technology.
The Lift Section can provide a carefully planned maintenance
schedule to ensure the continuous safety and reliability of our
lift installation.

Commercial Heating and Ventilation
-
Property Maintenance is able to offer a full range of mechanical
and electrical services through its commercial Heating and
Ventilation Section which is CORGI registered. A fully
comprehensive maintenance and installation service is available,
and should emergencies arise then a rapid response repair service
can be provided. Our fully qualified, multifunctional engineers
are ACS qualified and CORGI registered. Assurance checks
undertaken by British Gas Services give independent confirmation
that their work meets our exacting standards.

Asbestos Services
-
Our asbestos team is licensed by Health & Safety Executive (HSE)
and is a full member of ACAD and the Asbestos Division of the
Thermal Insulation Contractors association (TICA). They have
provided clients with an asbestos advisory and removal service
facility for over 20 years.
All team members are fully trained to recommend industry standards
and the surveying staff are certified by the British Institute of
Occupational Hygiene to carry out asbestos building surveys and
the management of asbestos in buildings.

For larger schemes such as smaller extensions and refurbishment
programmes, the Property Maintenance Contract section team of
multi-functional staff are fully competent to advise on design
issues and solutions together with estimates of cost. This section
also provides a comprehensive demolition service which can also
include subsequent landscaping.

solutions to Leeds City Council Departments for over twenty years.
