Sports Coaches Directory
- Leeds City Council has played a fundamental part in setting up a steering
group to develop a new coaching system for Leeds. The steering group
is made up of representatives from Leeds City Council's Sports Development
Unit, the School Sport Partnerships, Higher Education
Institutions and West Yorkshire Sport.
The steering group is developing 'Coaching Leeds', a new agency designed as a one stop shop for the recruitment and deployment of coaches to work with Leeds schools to deliver your sporting requirements. Coaching Leeds will provide coaching staff of the highest quality and aims to provide a coordinated approach to school sport across Leeds. Coaching Leeds will ensure the safe recruitment and vetting of all coaching staff, establish consistent quality and evaluation procedures and develop coach education opportunities to ensure that coaching staff are of the highest standards for delivery.
